  My main iterest in observational astronomy is variable star observing. This means that every clear night I can be found in my backyard, with my telescopes, observing variable stars .
VSOing is one of the fields, where amateur astronomers can contribute in astronomy development.
I observe long period variables (LPV) but, occassionally, I follow eclipsing binaries. I have about 130 variable stars in my observing programme.

Observing variables isn't hard but requirers passion and patience. Just like any other field in amateur astronomy.

Here are a few words about my observing run .
Variable stars are studied through their light curves. This is the reason why every variable star observer makes magnitude estimates of every star in his programme. After a few years of observing we (variable star observers) can construct our own light curves. Here is a collection of light curves (from my personal observations).
